Newcastle law firm introduces newly appointed Associate Directors

Mullane & Lindsay has announced the appointment of two new associate directors, both by internal appointment.

Michael McGrath practices in property and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing and on the tax implications of various transactions. Michael has been with the firm for 10 years.

Kristy Nunn works primarily in the area of civil litigation, and has particular expertise in professional indemnity and insurance claims generally.

Mullane & Lindsay has a history of cultivating local talent.  The firm was established in the late 1970’s by novocastrians The Honourable Graham Mullane and Robert Lindsay and has since grown to be one of the best regarded firms in the region.

Michael McGrath works mainly on commercial and property issues including residential and commercial property transactions; business sales and purchases; commercial and retail leasing; wills and estates and other general commercial and property related transactions. He worked for 8 years in the retail sector prior to completing a Bachelor of Economics and then a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Diploma of Legal Practice.

Kristy Nunn has practiced extensively in family law but is now focussing on commercial and insurance litigation, particularly in relation to professional indemnity claims against solicitors, real estate agents and other professionals. She has also developed a practice in administrative law, and her clients include a University, and a range of other organisations requiring advice or representation on issues such as Freedom of Information requests and disputes; harassment or discrimination allegations; and Equal Opportunity issues. Kristy is a graduate of the Newcastle University Law School, where she was awarded an Honours degree for her academic achievements. Kristy also holds a Bachelor of Business degree, with a major in Industrial Relations.
